Food Chain

Food chain

All living things need food to survive.
The food supplies nutrient and energy.
Food chain refers to the order how living things depend on each other for food as energy.
It shows the links between different organisms based on the food they eat.

For example:
Plants make their own food from sunlight, water, soil & other nutrients.
Plants are then eaten by creatures eg; insects known as consumers.
The insects are then eaten by birds.
The birds are then eaten by other animals.

This video provides informations on food chain for kids.
